Rajasthan SOG Officer Arrested Over Alleged Rs 2 Crore Bribe
Mukesh Kumar Soni is a senior officer in Rajasthan’s Special Operations Group.
Investigators say he allegedly demanded Rs 2 crore from someone connected to a land-scam case.
They say the money was supposed to help close the case and return documents or goods.
Sajjan Singh Jain, also called Sajjan Kumar in one report, was accused of acting as the middleman.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau says Jain was caught accepting the money.
Soni was then detained at his home and arrested.
The older land case involves disputed plots and records connected to Udaipur.
Reports also mention other allegations involving Soni, but those claims have not been established as convictions.
Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested SOG Additional Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Soni over an alleged Rs 2 crore bribe demand.

The bribe was allegedly sought to close the Udaipur Municipal Corporation land-scam case, avoid additional charges and return seized documents or goods.
The underlying case concerns alleged irregularities involving 30 land schemes and 16 slums transferred to the corporation in 2004.
Soni has also faced reported allegations involving a lecturer’s suicide case and investigations into drug-smuggling cases, though the reports do not establish those allegations as proven.
