China's Industrial Profits Rebound in August, Up 0.9%
China's factories made more money in August compared to July.
This is because the government is trying to stop companies from having price wars.
Overall, profits for the year are up a little bit, but it's still not a huge improvement.
Some companies, like those making electric cars, aren't doing so well.
This is partly because people aren't buying as much stuff as before, and the housing market isn't doing great either.
The government is being careful about how much help they give, worrying about making the stock market too hot.
They might be able to lower interest rates if the US does so first.
Industrial profits rose 20.4% in August, reversing a July decline.
For the first eight months, profits grew 0.9%.
Intense competition impacted business margins in key industrial sectors.
Beijing is attempting to curb aggressive pricing strategies.
Both factory output and retail sales saw weak gains.
