Karnataka launches QR code system to report unhygienic food

The Karnataka government made a new way for people to complain about bad food and medicine.

It is called the Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System, or IPGRS.

People can use their phones to scan a special picture called a QR code.

This picture will be shown at restaurants and medicine shops.

When someone scans it, they can tell the government about problems.

Problems can be dirty food places, old medicine, or medicine that costs too much.

They can also report bad reactions to medicine and fake food colours.

The government will be able to see and track these complaints.

The health minister said this is the first time such a system has been made in India.

This helps keep food and medicine safe for everyone.
