Golden Chariot Construction Begins at Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt
Imagine a very special golden chariot being built at a temple!
Two important religious leaders, Swamijis, started the construction.
This chariot is a gift for the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred book.
It will be used for celebrations inside the temple grounds, unlike the other chariots which go outside.
The construction began with prayers and a special ceremony where a leader symbolically tapped the first piece of wood.
One of the Swamijis, who is a big believer in this temple, donated money for the chariot and talked about the importance of the place.
The chariot is being built because a previous leader believes the god at the temple, Krishna, would love it and this is a way to make the god happy.
Subudhendra Tirtha Swamiji initiated the construction of the Parthasarathy Suvarna Ratha at Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt.
The golden chariot is estimated to cost Rs 18 crore and is a tribute to the Bhagavad Gita.
The chariot will be used within the Sri Krishna Mutt premises for Rathotsavas throughout the year.
The ceremony included Maha Pooja, a procession, and the ceremonial launch with a symbolic chisel.
Sri Subudhendra Tirtha announced a Rs 10 lakh contribution to the project and highlighted spiritual ties.
