Gujarat to Host Global Castor Conference
The Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) is hosting a big meeting about castor oil in Gujarat on February 27-28, 2026.
This meeting is called the 24th SEA-Global Castor Conference.
People from all over the world who work with castor oil, like farmers, business leaders, and researchers, will come together to talk about problems and find solutions.
India is really important in the castor oil world because it makes most of the castor oil used globally.
The meeting will also help people make new business friends and talk about how to make castor plants grow better and produce more oil.
About 400 people are expected to attend this event.
The 24th SEA-Global Castor Conference 2026 will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on February 27-28, 2026.
The conference will focus on issues and solutions for the castor industry, including yield enhancement and overcoming challenges in short cycle varieties.
India meets over 90% of the world's demand for castor oil and exports approximately ₹15,000 crore ($1.8 billion) worth of castor oil and derivatives annually.
Around 400 delegates and special invitees from India and abroad, including policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and other stakeholders, will participate in the conference.
The conference aims to foster collaborations, build business relationships, and provide opportunities for one-on-one meetings with suppliers of castor oil and derivatives.
