North Texas Names Svobda Interim Coach

North Texas has named Drew Svobda as their interim coach for the New Mexico Bowl.

This comes after Eric Morris, the previous coach, was hired by Oklahoma State.

Morris decided to focus fully on his new job, so Svobda will lead the team in the bowl game against San Diego State.

North Texas had a great season with 11 wins, setting a school record.

Morris was with North Texas for three years and had a 22-16 record.

Svobda has been with the team for three years and has experience with special teams and tight ends.

Before that, he worked at Alabama under Nick Saban.

The bowl game is on December 27.
