Supreme Court Special Lok Adalat Settles Over 400 Cases
The Supreme Court held a special event to help people solve legal disputes peacefully.
It is part of an initiative called Samadhan Samaroh 2026.
On the first day, more than 600 cases were discussed.
Over 400 of those cases were settled by agreement.
Sixteen benches helped the people involved talk through their problems.
Each bench had two Supreme Court judges and lawyers.
The disputes included family matters, property issues, accidents and employment disagreements.
The event was scheduled to continue through August 23.

Over 600 cases were listed before 16 Special Lok Adalat benches.
Each bench included two sitting Supreme Court judges and legal professionals.
The two-day initiative was launched on August 21 under Chief Justice Surya Kant.
Cases included matrimonial, property, land, motor accident, tax, service and labour disputes.
