Lok Sabha Adjourned Amid Opposition Protests Over Electoral Rolls
The Lok Sabha, or the Lower House of India's Parliament, had to stop its work for a while because some politicians were upset.
They were protesting about changes being made to the list of people who can vote in Bihar.
This has happened for five days in a row during the current session of Parliament.
The Speaker, who leads the Lok Sabha, asked the protesting members to allow the discussion of questions and to talk things out in a proper manner.
But because the protests continued, the Speaker stopped the meeting until later in the day.
The House also took a moment to remember the soldiers who died in the Kargil War.
Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned until 2 PM due to Opposition protests.
Protests were related to the revision of electoral rolls in Bihar.
This was the fifth consecutive day of disrupted Question Hour.
Speaker Om Birla urged for the continuation of Question Hour and discussion within democratic norms.
The House observed a moment of silence in tribute to Kargil War fallen soldiers.
