Spotify Tests Page Match for Audiobook Sync
Spotify is testing a new feature called Page Match.
This feature helps you switch between listening to an audiobook and reading a physical or ebook.
You can scan the page you're reading with your phone, and Spotify will find the right spot in the audiobook.
This way, you won't have to manually search for your place.
The feature is still being tested and hasn't been officially released yet.
It's similar to a feature Amazon has, but Spotify's version works with more types of books.
It might make reading and listening to books easier and more fun.
Spotify is testing a feature called Page Match to sync audiobooks with physical and ebooks.
Users can scan a page with their smartphone camera to match it with the corresponding audiobook timestamp.
The feature uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to identify the text and find the right spot in the audiobook.
Page Match is designed to work both ways, showing the current page number in the book that matches the audiobook's position.
The feature is still in beta testing, with no official release date announced by Spotify.
