BJP Accuses Kejriwal of 'Sheesh Mahal 2.0' Bungalow in Chandigarh; AAP Denies Claims
Political parties are arguing about a big house.
The BJP says Arvind Kejriwal, a leader from the AAP party, is getting a very fancy, large government house in Chandigarh that they are calling 'Sheesh Mahal 2.0'.
They claim it's being paid for with money from Punjab and that Kejriwal, who says he's like a common person, is living like a king.
They also remind people of a similar argument about a fancy house renovation in Delhi.
The AAP party says the BJP is making up these stories because they are upset about something else.
They also point out that the government in Chandigarh, where the house is, is actually run by the BJP, so the BJP is the one in charge of building things there.
The AAP also asks for an official letter showing the house was given to Kejriwal, which they say doesn't exist.
A former member of AAP also accused Kejriwal of using Punjab government planes for personal travel.
The BJP alleges Arvind Kejriwal has been allotted a 2-acre, 7-star government bungalow in Chandigarh, dubbing it 'Sheesh Mahal 2.0'.
BJP claims the bungalow is being allotted from the Punjab Chief Minister's quota, drawing parallels to a previous 'Sheesh Mahal' renovation controversy in Delhi.
The AAP refutes the allegations, calling them false and fabricated, and attributes them to the BJP's political panic.
AAP states that the Chandigarh administration is under BJP control, questioning the basis of the allotment claims and demanding an allotment letter.
Former AAP leader Swati Maliwal supports the allegations, claiming Kejriwal uses Punjab government aircraft for personal travel.
