Giant Sunspots Observed on Sun’s Surface

Scientists have noticed big dark spots on the Sun, called sunspots.

These spots are much bigger than Earth.

A scientist named Arvind Paranjpye says these spots are rare and will be visible for about 10 days.

He mentioned that similar spots were seen in 1947 and 2014.

These spots are on the Sun's surface, which is called the photosphere.

The spots have a dark center called the umbra and a lighter area around it called the penumbra.

Seeing many big sunspots at once is not common, making this a special event for people who watch the sky.
