Haryana MP advocates for air passenger rights awareness
A member of parliament from Haryana named Kartikeya Sharma spoke in the Rajya Sabha about the need for passengers to know their rights when flying.
He said that many people, especially those who are flying for the first time, come from smaller cities, are older, or have trouble with language, don't know what help or money they can get if their flight is delayed, canceled, or changed.
He asked the government to make sure these rights are clearly shown at airports, airline counters, and online so that travelers can easily understand them.
He also mentioned that knowing these rights can make traveling less stressful and more trustworthy.
Sharma believes that as more people fly, it's important to also make sure they are treated well and are aware of their rights.
