Students Explore Wildlife at Gibbon Sanctuary

A group of students went on a nature walk in a special forest called the Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary.

They saw different animals like hoolock gibbons, which are the only apes in India, and other creatures like squirrels and butterflies.

The walk was organized by a group called Aaranyak and the forest department.

The students learned about the animals and how the forest works.

They also saw signs that elephants had been there, like footprints and trees with mud on them.

The guides taught them about the importance of all the small things in the forest, like lichens and insects, which help keep the forest healthy.
