Iran Protests Escalate Amid Internet Shutdown
There are big protests happening in Iran because people are upset about the economy and the government.
The government has shut down the internet for over 84 hours to try to stop the protests.
More than 599 people have been killed, and over 10,000 have been arrested.
The US President, Donald Trump, is watching the situation and has said he might do something to help the protesters.
He is even talking to Elon Musk about using a special internet service called Starlink to help people in Iran get online.
The protests are happening all over Iran, in 186 cities.
Some people, like the exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, are supporting the protesters and want a change in the government.
The Iranian government is saying they are ready to talk but also prepared for war if necessary.
They also blame foreign interference for the unrest.
Iran's internet shutdown has reached 84 hours amid widespread protests.
Protests began on December 28 over economic conditions and have evolved into opposition to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Over 599 protesters have been killed, and more than 10,681 individuals have been arrested.
US President Donald Trump is considering strong options, including military action, to support the protesters and plans to speak with Elon Musk about using Starlink to restore internet access in Iran.
Iran's government is ready for negotiations with the US but warns it is 'fully prepared for war' if necessary, and blames foreign interference for the unrest.
