FICCI Launches Healthcare Panel on AI-Enabled Digital Transformation in India
A group of business and healthcare experts in India met to talk about how computers and artificial intelligence, called AI, can help doctors and hospitals work better.
They started a new group called the FICCI Telangana Healthcare Panel that will give advice to the state government.
The meeting took place in Hyderabad, a big city in India, at a hotel called Vivanta by Taj.
The experts talked about using AI to find diseases earlier and to give each patient care that is just right for them.
They also want to make sure people who live in small towns can get good healthcare close to home.
One expert said hospitals should focus on patients and doctors, not just on making money.
Another expert said hospitals should connect all their information so no patient details are lost in separate systems.
They shared data showing that hospitals using new digital standards had shorter waiting times for patients.
The meeting shows that India wants to use smart technology to keep people healthy.
FICCI's Telangana State Council launched its first Healthcare Panel at a conference on AI-enabled healthcare and digital transformation in Hyderabad.
The new panel will advise the Telangana government on healthcare policy, prioritising AI-enabled care, preventive healthcare, medical tourism, accessibility, and workforce skilling.
Dr. Arun Kumar Tiwari outlined four AI-driven shifts: early prediction, personalised care, wider public access to health information, and connected records via the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA).
Dr. Avinash Pandey said digital health remains organised around institutions rather than patients, citing NABH data showing accredited hospitals achieved an average 30% reduction in patient waiting times.
Satya Sai Prasad B V cautioned against private equity dictating terms to doctors and urged the government to treat healthcare spending as an investment in growth.
