Pakistani Forces Disappear Two Baloch Students
Two young Baloch students, Bakhtiyar and Noor, were taken away by Pakistani soldiers in July 2024.
Bakhtiyar was taken from a hospital in Multan, while Noor was taken from a street in Quetta.
A human rights group called this a serious violation of law.
They asked the United Nations and the European Union to help.
Another group also said a judge was killed and needs a fair investigation.
Pakistani forces forcibly disappeared Bakhtiyar Baloch (23) on July 10 from Nishtar Hospital in Multan.
Noor Zaib (17) was taken from Sariab Road in Quetta last month.
Paank, the Baloch National Movement's Human Rights Department, condemned the disappearances as violations of international law.
Paank urged the UN, UN Working Group, UN Special Rapporteurs, and the EU to intervene and demand accountability.
Tara Chand, president of the Baloch American Congress, condemned the murder of Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and called for an independent investigation.
