Box Office Preview: '28 Years Later' and 'Elio' Set To Open
Several new movies are coming out, including "28 Years Later" and "Elio".
"28 Years Later" is a zombie movie that could make a lot of money, but it depends on how people like it.
"Elio" is a new animated movie from Pixar and is expected to do well, but it's opening weekend is compared to the past performance of Elemental.
Also, "How to Train Your Dragon" is still going strong.
Another action comedy, "Bride Hard", is expected to earn less.
"28 Years Later" and "Elio" are expected to have global openings of $56M and $50M, respectively.
"How to Train Your Dragon" is predicted to hold the No. 1 spot with a $40M+ second weekend.
"28 Years Later" is a $60M net cost film about a father and son in an isle with infected dead people.
"Elio" is a new animated film from Pixar with advance ticket sales slightly ahead of "Elemental".
"Bride Hard" is expected to perform in the low single digits during its opening weekend.
