Odisha Launches Drought Mitigation Programme
Odisha has started a new program called the Odisha Agriculture Drought Mitigation Programme (OADMP) to help farmers in areas that often have droughts.
This program will help about 24,000 families by teaching them better farming methods and giving them support.
The government has set aside Rs 141.50 crore for this program.
Experts from different organizations will help make sure the program works well.
The goal is to make farming more sustainable and reduce the need for people to move away from their homes because of droughts.
The program focuses on using science to plan, working together with different groups, and making sure the community is involved.
Odisha launched the Odisha Agriculture Drought Mitigation Programme (OADMP) to enhance climate resilience and productivity in drought-prone districts.
