Andhra Pradesh High Court Seeks Supreme Court Order in Custodial Death Case
The Andhra Pradesh High Court is considering a request for a central agency to investigate Gade Sai Krishna’s custodial death.
The request was made in a public interest case filed by G. Srinivasa Rao.
The court asked the state government and the petitioner to show it a Supreme Court order.
Lawyers for the petitioner said the public interest case was separate from the Supreme Court case.
The government said Sai Krishna’s mother had also sought a CBI investigation.
It added that a state investigation team had finished its work and filed a report in court.
The High Court will hear the matter again next week.
