Assam CM Sarma pays tribute to 1947 Partition victims

Long ago, in 1947, a big country called India was split into two new countries.

This event is called the Partition.

Lots of people had to leave their homes, and many people were hurt or lost their lives.

It was a very sad and difficult time.

Every year, India remembers this on a special day called Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, asked everyone to never forget what happened.

He said we should remember the people who suffered and work hard to make sure something so sad never happens again.

He also asked everyone to stay united, protect the country, and learn lessons from the past.
