PFRDA extends NPS same-day investment cut-off to 1:30 pm

PFRDA extends NPS same-day investment cut-off to 1:30 pm

The organization that looks after India's pension system changed a time rule.

When people put money into their retirement savings account, there is a time limit for when that money can be invested on the same day.

Before, the money had to arrive by 11 o'clock in the morning.

Now it can arrive as late as 1:30 in the afternoon.

This gives people more time to send in their money.

If the money arrives on time and is processed correctly, it gets invested that same day.

That is good because the money starts working sooner.

The new rule applies to all the different ways people send money, like through banks, apps, and other channels.

The organization made this change to make saving for retirement easier and smoother for everyone.
