Odisha CM Majhi visits flood-hit Jajpur, Bhadrak districts

A big storm brought lots of rain to a part of India called Odisha.

The rain made rivers rise and water flooded many villages.

More than seven lakh people were affected by the flood.

The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, rode in a boat to visit people stuck in the water.

He promised to help them and to fix the flood problem.

Many people were moved to safe places called relief camps.

There they got food and a place to stay.

Weather experts said more rain was coming and warned people to be careful.

Some politicians from the opposition party were upset because they were not allowed to join the Chief Minister's boat trip.

Everyone is working to make sure people are safe until the water goes down.
