YSRCP Warns Government Against Threatening Employee Union Leaders

The YSRCP said government employees are being treated unfairly.

Its employee and pensioner wing leader, Nalamaaru Chandrasekhar Reddy, criticized alleged threats against employee union leaders.

He said workers should be able to ask for money and rights owed to them.

He claimed the government had not kept its promises to employees and pensioners for 27 months.

He said nearly Rs 40,000 crore in payments was still pending.

These payments include retirement benefits, insurance-related funds, pay revision money and dearness allowances.

He also said five dearness allowances had not been paid.

The government had not announced a decision 40 days after a meeting on July 22, he said.
