Delhi H1N1 Cases Reach 2,446 as Hospitals Bolster Preparedness

Delhi is seeing more cases of a flu called H1N1.

Officials said 138 new cases were found in one day, bringing the 2026 total to 2,446.

H1N1 is now the most common influenza type reported in the city.

Hospitals are testing more people who have warning signs or serious symptoms.

They are also preparing special flu areas, isolation beds, medicines and medical teams.

Children and older people are being given special attention.

A doctor said flu symptoms can look like COVID-19 or other infections, so testing may be useful.

The health minister said people should not panic, but should wash their hands, cover coughs and be careful in crowded places when sick.
