PM Modi to lay foundation for new fertiliser unit in Assam
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to lay the foundation stone for a new fertiliser plant in Assam.
This plant is part of a big plan to help the Northeast region grow and become more self-reliant.
The plant will make a lot of urea, which is important for farmers.
It will also create many jobs.
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the site to make sure everything is ready for the Prime Minister's visit.
The plant is expected to make the Northeast less dependent on faraway places for fertiliser and help farmers get what they need on time.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for a new fertiliser unit in Namrup, Assam on December 21.
The project, with an investment exceeding Rs 10,000 crore, aims to strengthen Assam’s industrial base and improve fertiliser availability in the Northeast.
The new plant will have an annual production capacity of 1.25 million metric tonnes and is expected to generate substantial employment.
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed the preparations and logistical arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit.
