LG urges technology-driven, equitable healthcare as J-K innovation hub

Manoj Sinha, Jammu and Kashmir’s lieutenant governor, said the region can use new ideas to improve healthcare.

He said telemedicine can connect people in remote villages with doctors at district hospitals.

He also suggested using drones to deliver medical supplies and solar-powered systems to keep medicines cold.

Sinha said healthcare should focus more on preventing illness and finding diseases early.

He called for easier access to primary healthcare and regular health screenings.

He said medical workers need better staffing, less paperwork and mental-health support.

He also highlighted new hospitals, colleges and other healthcare facilities in the region.

The goal is to make good medical care available to people wherever they live.
