Gujarat Man Loses Rs 4.25 Lakh in Fake Canada Visa Scam
A man in Gujarat was looking for a job in Canada.
A woman pretending to be from a visa consultancy called him and said she could help him get a visa and a job.
She asked him to share his documents and then told him he was selected.
She then asked for a lot of money for things like fees and flights.
The man sent her over 4 lakh rupees, but then she stopped answering her phone and disappeared.
The police are now investigating this scam.
A Gujarat resident, Rajesh Kumar Bapuji Patel, was duped of Rs 4.25 lakh in a fraudulent Canada visa scheme.
The scam was orchestrated by Preeti Chauhan, who posed as a representative of Blue Tech Visa Consultancy.
Patel was promised a Canadian work visa and job, with assurances that payments could be deferred.
