IIT Bombay and Rosatom Launch Atomic Hack India 2026
IIT Bombay and Rosatom have started a competition for engineering students.
The students will work on a way to spot electrical faults on a power line.
The line in the challenge connects nuclear and renewable energy sources.
Teams will design a protection scheme for a 220 kV line.
They will use REPEAT VISION, a program for making virtual models and testing how systems behave.
Students can use the software for free and do not need to know it already.
Training and mentors will help participants.
The online qualifying round is planned for October, and up to 25 teams will go to the final in Mumbai in December.
Winning teams may get research visits, internships or certificates.
IIT Bombay and Rosatom State Corporation launched Atomic Hack India 2026 for undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students.
Participants will design a Zero-Sequence Directional Overcurrent Protection scheme for a 220 kV line connecting nuclear and renewable energy sources.
Registration closes October 20, 2026; the online qualification round is scheduled for October 20–28.
Up to 25 shortlisted teams will compete in a 48-hour final at IIT Bombay in Mumbai from December 4–6.
Participants receive free REPEAT VISION access, training and mentorship; winning teams may receive research visits, internships and certificates.
