Suryapet signboard asks respect for men's reserved bus seats

Suryapet signboard asks respect for men's reserved bus seats

Buses often have signs that say people should leave special seats for women, older people, and people with disabilities.

A new sign at a bus stand in Suryapet says something different.

It says people should let men sit in the seats reserved for them.

This is because the government made bus rides free for women in the state.

Now women often fill up most of the seats on the bus.

Male passengers, who still pay for their tickets, find it hard to get a seat.

Sometimes they have to stand or change buses.

Many people found the new sign funny and talked about it.

The real message is simple: everyone should leave reserved seats for the people they are meant for.
