Rajasthan Minister Withdraws Shaurya Diwas Order
A minister in Rajasthan, India, wanted schools to celebrate December 6 as 'Shaurya Diwas' to remember the Babri Masjid demolition.
He said it would teach students about bravery and national unity.
But he quickly canceled the plan because schools were having exams.
The minister has made many controversial statements before, like saying a famous old king was bad, wanting to remove religious places from schools, and talking about testing people's DNA.
Some people think he should not be in charge of schools because of these statements.
Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar ordered schools to celebrate December 6 as 'Shaurya Diwas' to commemorate the Babri Masjid demolition.
The order was withdrawn 12 hours later due to ongoing examinations in schools.
Proposed activities included speech competitions, cultural performances, and exhibitions related to the Ram Temple movement.
Dilawar has a history of controversial statements, including criticizing Mughal ruler Akbar and making remarks about DNA tests and female teachers' attire.
The minister has been involved in several controversies, including the Jhalawar school collapse, which led to a government probe and the suspension of five teachers.
