Andhra Pradesh CM Unveils Biodiversity Calendar
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, introduced the 2026 calendar for the Andhra Pradesh Legislature.
This calendar is special because it shows 12 different wild animals from Andhra Pradesh, drawn in a traditional art style called Kalamkari but made using a computer program called Artificial Intelligence.
The animals are from different places in the state, like forests, grasslands, and mangroves.
The Chief Minister said these animals are important and we should take care of them and their homes.
He also warned that if we don't, there could be problems between animals and people.
The calendar is part of a series that started last year, which showed important people from Andhra Pradesh who helped write the country's constitution.
Additionally, the Chief Minister directed the agriculture and horticulture departments to prepare a comprehensive crop calendar to maximize farmers' returns and ensure timely procurement and marketing of agricultural produce.
He emphasized the need for scientific crop planning, improved advisory services, and strengthening cold chain infrastructure.
The government is also providing subsidies and additional payments to support farmers, including mango growers, and is taking steps to ensure fair procurement and marketing of agricultural produce.
