Bengaluru Plans 28-Km Tolled Elevated Corridor Under BOOT

Bengaluru wants to build a long road above existing roads to help cars move more easily.

The road would be 28 kilometres long.

It would connect Yeshwanthpur with Tin Factory Junction in KR Puram.

The project is expected to cost Rs 3,536.89 crore.

The government would pay 40 per cent of the cost to help make the project possible.

A private company would build and operate the road under a BOOT agreement.

Drivers would have to pay tolls, and the company could collect them for 30 years after the road opens.

Officials say the project could make travel smoother and reduce traffic on busy roads.
