Maharashtra Rights Panel Closes Case, Finds No Medical Negligence

A very premature baby was taken to Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar after being treated at another hospital.

The baby was 29 weeks old and weighed only 650 grams.

Doctors placed the baby in an incubator and gave medicines and injections.

The doctors also watched the baby closely.

Hospital staff told the parents that the baby was in very serious condition.

They said the baby could be moved to a bigger medical centre if the parents wanted.

The baby died on May 31, 2026.

After reviewing the records, health officials and the Commission said the doctors had provided the proper treatment.

The Commission therefore found no medical negligence or human rights violation.
