Delhi Intensifies Pollution Curbs, Construction Ban Begins December

Delhi is preparing for winter air pollution.

From October 1, fuel stations will check whether vehicles have valid pollution certificates.

Cars without these certificates may receive a Rs 10,000 fine.

Some dusty construction and demolition work will be restricted from November 1.

All construction and demolition will be stopped from December 10 to January 20.

Parking will become more expensive, and many office workers will work from home.

The government also wants people to use public transport, including the Delhi Metro.

Officials will monitor pollution hotspots, waste burning and factories more closely.
