IISc Students Achieve India's Best Rank at Physics Competition
A team of four undergraduate students from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) did very well in a tough physics competition called PLANCKS, finishing sixth in the world!
The competition was held in Barcelona, Spain, and tested the students on how well they understand physics.
The students are called the 'Denormalisation Group' and were chosen for the competition after winning a previous physics league in India.
They had to solve difficult physics problems during the contest.
While there, they also got to explore the city and learn about advanced topics in physics, like gravitational waves.
An Indian team secured sixth place in the PLANCKS 2025, a global physics competition.
The competition was held in Barcelona, Spain, from May 1 to 5.
The team consisted of four undergraduate students from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
The team earned their spot by winning the Indian Young Physicist’s League (IYPL).
The IISc team explored Barcelona and attended talks on advanced topics like gravitational waves.
