Nellore Temple to Host Guruvayoorappan Brahmotsavams in June
A special religious festival called Brahmotsavams is happening in Nellore from June 17 to 22.
It's at a temple dedicated to Guruvayoorappan, which is unique to the area.
The temple was built after a Kerala astrologer suggested it during a special ritual.
The former president and secretary of a different temple took the lead in building it.
People donated money to make it happen.
During the festival, there will be special ceremonies and a divine wedding, all part of celebrating this special temple.
Annual Brahmotsavams at Sri Guruvayoor Mahavishnu temple in Nellore will be held from June 17 to 22.
The temple is the only Guruvayoorappan shrine in the Nellore region, consecrated in April 2011.
Construction was inspired by a Devaprasnam, with guidance from astrologer Ravunni Panicker.
The temple was built due to initiatives by the then Ayyappa temple president P.T. Rangarajan and secretary G. Seshagiri Rao.
Key events include Seshavahana Seva, Garuda Seva, and the Divine Wedding (Kalyanam).
