CJP Protests Demand Education Minister's Resignation
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) wanted to hold a big protest march to the Parliament in Delhi on Monday.
They are upset about problems with a big exam called NEET and want the Education Minister to step down.
The Delhi Police said no to the protest and have made big preparations to stop it.
The CJP says they will protest anyway to challenge old laws that require permission to protest.
The police have set up barricades, water cannons, and many security personnel to prevent the protest.
The CJP leader has started a hunger strike and many people, including families with children, have joined the protest at Jantar Mantar.
CJP plans a protest march to Parliament on Monday, July 20, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and investigation into NEET irregularities.
Delhi Police denied permission for the protest, citing prohibitory orders under Section 163 BNSS, and made elaborate arrangements to block the march.
CJP spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya stated they will not seek permission to challenge colonial protest laws.
Around one lakh protesters are expected, with heavy police presence including 12 companies of paramilitary personnel, water cannons, and jammers.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has started an indefinite fast and appealed for a peaceful protest, with emotions running high among protesters, including families with children.
