Amazon Stock Hits All-Time High Fueled by Cloud and Advertising Growth
Amazon's stock price jumped to its highest ever because the company made more money than people expected in the last three months.
The main reasons for this success were its cloud services, called AWS, and its advertising business.
AWS grew a lot, and customers are using it to run new AI programs.
The advertising side also did very well.
Because of this good news, Amazon's stock went up by more than 12%.
The boss of Amazon said they are making more space for their cloud services because lots of people need them, especially for AI, and they plan to keep adding more.
Amazon's stock price surged 12.4% to an all-time high of $250 on the Nasdaq.
The surge followed a strong Q3 earnings report that surpassed analyst expectations.
Revenue from Amazon Web Services (AWS) grew 20% year-on-year to $33 billion, driven by AI-related workloads.
Advertising services also performed well, generating $17.7 billion in revenue.
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated that AWS capacity has doubled since 2022 and is on track to double again by 2027 to meet demand for AI and core infrastructure.
