Mission Green Monsoon Enters Fifth Phase
In Nashik, India, there's a big effort called 'Mission Green Monsoon' to plant lots of trees.
It's in its fifth phase, and people who signed up with a special QR code will get tree saplings to plant in their neighborhoods.
So far, over 25,000 trees have been planted in different places around the city.
A minister named Girish Mahajan is leading this effort and wants Nashik to be the greenest city in India before a big festival called Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
Everyone is working together to make Nashik a better place for the environment.
Mission Green Monsoon enters its fifth phase with 8,750 native saplings to be distributed.
Citizens registered via a QR code system to request saplings for their localities.
Distribution is planned ward-wise with support from local corporators, volunteers, and the Nashik Municipal Corporation's Garden Department.
Over 25,000 native trees have been planted in the first four phases across various locations in Nashik.
