Chandigarh Achieves 100% Wastewater Treatment Capacity
Chandigarh has become very good at cleaning its dirty water!
The city now has the ability to treat more wastewater than it creates.
This was talked about in a meeting with important city officials.
They're keeping a close eye on all the water cleaning plants to make sure they work well.
The city is also working on getting clean water to places like parks and factories.
They're also dealing with trash, making sure all of it gets processed.
They are currently removing old trash and hope to be done by next year.
Chandigarh now treats more wastewater than it generates, reaching over 100% treatment capacity.
The achievement was discussed at a review meeting led by the Chief Secretary of Chandigarh.
All Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) are closely monitored to meet environmental standards.
