MCC Records Property Tax Collection in First Two Months
Imagine the city needs money to fix roads and do other important things.
The main way they get this money is through property taxes.
Recently, the city collected a lot of this money very quickly – a record for just the first two months!
This was helped by giving people a small discount if they paid their taxes early.
The city is encouraging everyone to pay their taxes now to help improve the city, and if you pay now, you also get a discount!
Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) collected over Rs 150 crore in property tax within the first two months of the 2025-26 financial year.
The collection represents over 63.3% of the annual target of Rs 237 crore.
A 5% rebate is being offered to property owners.
