Harry Brook open to IPL comeback after two-year ban
Harry Brook is a famous cricket player who leads England's white-ball team.
The Indian Premier League, or IPL, is a big cricket competition where teams buy players.
Brook was banned from the IPL for two years because he pulled out of the tournament two years in a row.
He was supposed to play for a team called Delhi Capitals, but he didn't play in the 2025 IPL season.
Now Brook says he would love to play in the IPL again one day.
He says it is a great competition and that players learn a lot there.
But for now, he wants to focus only on playing cricket for England.
He is also playing in another competition called The Hundred for a team that is now called Sunrisers Leeds.
Brook likes the changes brought by the team's new owners, and he admires the way his friend Zak Crawley leads the team.
So, Brook will wait and decide about the IPL later.
The IPL governing council banned England white-ball captain Harry Brook for two years after he withdrew from the league for a second consecutive year.
Brook, bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 6.5 crore at the 2024 mega auction, missed the 2025 IPL for reasons other than injury.
In a Cricinfo interview, Brook called the IPL 'a great competition' and said a comeback is 'something that I'll definitely think about in the future.'
Brook reiterated that playing for England is his 'one and only priority,' after previously saying he wanted no franchise cricket besides The Hundred.
With Sunrisers Leeds (formerly Northern Superchargers) under new Sun Group ownership, Brook praised captain Zak Crawley's calmness and game management.
