Beyoncé, Venus, Kidman Join Wintour as Met Gala Co-Chairs
The Met Gala is a big, fancy party that raises money for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year, Beyoncé, Venus Williams, and Nicole Kidman will help Anna Wintour host the event.
There's also a new exhibition called 'Costume Art' that will show how fashion and art have been connected for a long time.
The exhibition will be in a new, bigger space in the museum.
The Met Gala is on May 4, 2026, and the exhibition will be open from May 10, 2026, to January 10, 2027.
Many famous people are part of the host committee for the event.
The primary sponsor for the Met Gala is Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez.
Beyoncé, Venus Williams, Nicole Kidman, and Anna Wintour announced as co-chairs for the 2026 Met Gala.
The event will raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, with a record $31 million raised in 2025.
The 'Costume Art' exhibition will explore the dressed body in art across centuries, organized thematically by different body types.
The exhibition will be housed in a new 12,000 square feet gallery space, easing congestion and highlighting fashion's role in art and culture.
