Toyota to Launch Urban Cruiser EV in India
Toyota is launching a new electric car called the Urban Cruiser EV in India on January 20.
This is Toyota's first electric SUV for regular people in India.
It is made on the same platform as the Maruti Suzuki eVitara and will be manufactured in Gujarat.
The car will have different battery options, with the biggest one giving it a range of up to 543 km on a single charge.
It will compete with other electric SUVs like the Hyundai Creta Electric and the MG ZS EV.
The car will have a big touchscreen, a digital dashboard, and safety features to help drivers.

The Urban Cruiser EV will feature distinct Toyota styling cues but share key mechanicals, interior layout, and equipment with the eVitara.
It will offer battery options of 49 kWh and 61 kWh, with the larger battery providing a claimed range of up to 543 km.
The SUV will compete with models like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV.
