7.3% of Teens in 12 States Have Mental Disorders: Government
The Indian government found that about 7.3% of teens aged 13-17 in 12 states have mental health disorders.
To help, they started a program called Tele-MANAS, which offers mental health support through phone calls and a special app.
This app is available in many languages and even helps people who can't see well.
The government also has a program called Manodarpan to support students' mental health.
They have set up many centers across the country to provide this help.
7.3% of teens aged 13-17 in 12 states have mental health disorders, according to a 2015-16 survey.
The government launched the National Tele Mental Health Programme (Tele-MANAS) in 2022 to improve access to mental health services.
