Gujarat PSU Scrips Show Mixed Results in First Half of FY2026
Some companies did well, and some didn't in the stock market.
Four Gujarat government-owned companies had good growth.
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) saw a big increase, and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.
(GSFC) also grew well.
Two others, Gujarat Gas Ltd and Gujarat State Petronet Ltd also grew.
Other companies like Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (GNFC) and Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) didn't do as well.
The Gujarat government said that GMDC's success was due to global demand and GSFC's growth reflected strong fundamentals.
Gujarat PSUs showed mixed performance in the first half of FY2026.
GMDC saw a 125.17% increase in its stock price.
GSFC shares rose by 10.91% during the period.
GACL shares decreased by 5.39%.
The Gujarat government credited GMDC's growth to mineral demand and expansion.
