Assam CM Visits Flood-Hit Districts Amid Severe Crisis
Assam's Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, visited the flood-hit districts of Sivasagar, Charaideo, and Jorhat to see the situation for himself.
He checked on relief camps, talked to families who had to leave their homes, and made sure they had food, water, and medical help.
He said the floods are very bad, especially because of a cloudburst in Nagaland and heavy rain.
Many villages are still underwater, and it's hard to reach them.
The government is working hard to help, but it's not easy.
They don't know yet how much damage there is or how many people are missing.
They are trying to reach everyone who needs help.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited flood-hit districts to assess the situation and review rescue operations.
The floods have affected 25 districts, 74 revenue circles, and nearly 1,700 villages, impacting over 7 lakh people.
Relief camps are sheltering 18,574 displaced people, and 469 relief distribution centres are operational.
The floods have claimed 31 lives, with one additional death due to urban flooding, and three people are officially missing.
