TMC condemns attacks on Bengali migrants
Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, spoke out against the attacks on Bengali migrant workers in states ruled by the BJP.
She was especially upset about the killing of a young man named Juyel Sheikh in Odisha.
Mamata said her government is taking action, like sending police to investigate and promising to help the families of those hurt.
She also said that speaking Bengali is not a crime.
Some people in West Bengal are unhappy because they feel the government isn't doing enough to protect them, especially Muslims.
The Trinamool Congress party, which Mamata leads, is trying to keep the support of different groups of people before the next elections.
Mamata Banerjee condemned the lynching of Juyel Sheikh, a Bengali migrant worker, in Odisha.
The West Bengal government filed a zero FIR and sent a police team to investigate the incident.
Suspected Hindutva activists killed Juyel Sheikh and injured two others, branding them as 'Bangladeshi infiltrators'.
Mamata Banerjee promised financial compensation for the families of those killed and support for migrant workers.
The incident has sparked political pressure on the Trinamool Congress, with reports of growing discontent among the Muslim community in West Bengal.
