LSG Ranks Above KKR in IPL 2025 Despite Similar Points
In the IPL 2025, Lucknow and Kolkata have the same points, but Lucknow is ranked higher.
This is because of how the league decides ties.
First, it looks at how many games each team won.
If that's the same, then it looks at who won when the teams played each other.
Lucknow beat Kolkata in their game, so they're ranked higher.
Net Run Rate, a measure of how quickly a team scores, only comes into play after wins and head-to-head results are considered.
This shows that every game matters, and even a small victory can affect the rankings.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are tied on points in IPL 2025.
LSG is ranked higher due to their head-to-head win against KKR.
The IPL uses a tie-breaking system: wins, head-to-head, then Net Run Rate (NRR).
KKR has a superior Net Run Rate but it's secondary to head-to-head results.
