Drones Deployed for First Time to Monitor Jubilee Hills Bypoll in Hyderabad
For the first time in India, flying cameras called drones were used to watch over an election in Hyderabad.
About 139 drones were sent up to see all the places where people were voting.
This was done to make sure the election was fair and peaceful.
Election officials could watch everything from a special control room.
They also used many regular cameras and had a lot of police officers around to keep everything safe.
The drones helped watch for any rule-breaking and made sure people could vote without any problems.
This special drone watching was a new way to help make elections run smoothly.
Drones were deployed for the first time in India to monitor polling during the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency by-election.
A total of 139 (or 150) drones were used for real-time aerial surveillance across all polling stations.
The drone initiative aimed to ensure transparent, smooth, and secure polling operations.
Over 900 CCTV cameras and approximately 1,800 police personnel were also deployed for comprehensive monitoring and security.
Election officials monitored the situation in real-time from the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC).
